Made an Apple Oatmeal breakfast recipe from Betty Crocker last night to have for breakfast this morning. It was good, a bit sweet, but good. I have enough for 3 more days. Next I think I will make an egg and sausage breakfast casserole my Mom makes for holidays. I need to have some things made up that are easy to eat in the morning. Was going to get up and do an exercise video this morning, but I was so tired. The last 2 mornings the alarm has woke me up and I feel like I could use another hour or 2 of sleep. Maybe because I've been so busy? I did do 12 pushups and ab rolled 8 times, maybe after my haircut tonight I'll have time to do a video. Tomorrow is the kids Christmas program (now called Holiday program, why can't it be Christmas?!?!) Saturday we have a cookie exchange party then hubby and I are finishing our shopping and Sunday I'm shopping with my SIL! Busy weekend! Next week will be busy too, but the weekend before Christmas should be quiet, I'll just wrap then.

EDIT: Weighed in and my journal wasn't saved. Haven't weighed for a few days. ...oops what happened. I've been bouncing between 152-153 for a month, but I was up a bit more this morning. I want to get healthy, so I am starting.....again :)

Was looking through my weight history for the year and while I've had some ups and downs throughout the year, my weight is basically the same now as it was in January. So instead of feeling like I failed at weight loss I am going to view this year as a maintenance year and will continue maintaining until after the holidays. I'm busy almost every day until after the first of the year, so I'm not going to stress about the scale.
After the first of the year hubby and I are going to get the whole family healthy. We are going to exercise together and eat better. . . eating falls on me as I cook and buy groceries.

I've got a good start on my holiday shopping, been picking up a few things here and there on my lunch hours. I want to have all the extra people done by the weekend of the 14th. Then that weekend hubby and I will go finish up the kids. I'm soooo excited, I love this time of year. I love gift giving and traditions. Our first tradition is going to get a real tree with my in-laws, we are doing this Sunday and they are calling for snow! I'm good with snow now because it makes it seem more Christmasy lol. Kids and I are also making hot chocolate mix and decorating mason jars to put it in for their teachers. I try to make a few gifts during the holidays, it feels personal and my kids love it!

Wonder if this is how an addict feels when they hit rock bottom and realize they have to actually make changes to their behavior for changes to occur in their life? I was sitting here eating McDonald's for lunch feeling a bit gross (had pizza for supper last night, but it was good McDonalds not so much!) and decided I do not want to eat like this anymore!! I threw away the rest of my lunch (I had eaten half) No more fast food! I'm done. I got my husband stuff for lunchmeat sandwiches for his lunch, why in the world am I not eating that? Probably still not the best, but it has to be better than McDonalds! Baby steps! Going cold turkey on soda, no more, I'm done. Found a heart healthy oatmeal breakfast recipe I'm excited to try. Will do this weekend. Sounds like it should make enough for a week, so I can make Sunday and have for the week. I'm not worried about Thanksgiving as I may eat a bit more, it is usually healthy real food, not crap :) So a new mindset, thank you whoever hit me over the head while I was eating.

In other news I have been doing 10 minutes of strength/stretching exercises every other day for 2 weeks. Saturday I added weights to my squats and what a difference that made! Last night I played Just Dance 2014 with my daughter and worked up quite a sweat and hurt my back, lol. Back feels better today though.
