Today is my one year anniversary on FS.

What an amazing journey this has been.. just one year....just ONE YEAR.
I remember looking thru pics at 30-40-50 year olds... and seeing peeps who have lost 40.. 80.. 100+ lbs..and hoping that one would be me. I started Atkins on April 1st, 2010.. after looking at the program for many years..even thru updating revisions of the book.. setting on my bedside table for y.e.a.r.s.... but never being applied Atkins to my way of eating. In March of 2010.. my 16 year old daughter came to me ... telling me she wanted to lose weight.. and I thought to myself... how can I offer guidance and support for her.. if I am not doing something about MY weight. So I set my deadline as April 1st.. had a carb blow out until then...and cleaned my cupboards and started.. stumbled...and learned along the way....
So many FS peeps who helped me along the way... looking at my food journals and seeing carb culprits... incredible pats on the back and cheerleaders you all are... I thank you... from the bottom of my heart... sincerely and for reals. :) You know who you are.

I started in 44/46W... I am now in 36/34... I started in 4 and 5 xlt.... I am now in a XL.
I started at 342..... tomorrow is weigh in day :) but in all likelihood... it will reveal I have lost 100 lbs in just one year.
So. Very. Humbled. Proud. Grateful and excited...
Tomorrow, I will post a pic of me and my oldest... taken the week before I started Atkins. And the other is of us... on his most recent visit... just one year later.

Oh Steve...what an incredible year you have had....AMAZING, and much Kudos to you. You re-invented yourself. Congratulations on all the hard work....! Happy Anniversary! I do hope that you treat yourself to something wonderful......as Onederland is truly a HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!!

Congrats on everything Steve, hanging in for a year and on the weight loss. You have done an awesome job and it seems like you have had fun along the way and made some incredible friends, who knew losing weight could have all those benefits! Onwards and downwards. Congrats again.

Steve - excited for ya! excited with ya!! ...so, big question... what did your teenage daughter end up doing in this last year? did she take away anything from you as an inspiration or motivation to make changes herself??? just curious... what a difference a year can make in someone's life! Happy anniversary Steve. You have made an incredible change for the better, eating healthy and losing weight means you should be around alot longer for your kiddos. Keep up the good work. I bet your a great example not only for kids, but your FS buds.
