You are so blessed. Sounds like you had a wonderful evening, but whats even more wonderful, is that you live it everyday. Glad you spotted that culprit/sweetner, I have read alot of people like the SF Toroni Syrups, I need to check them out. Have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe and warm.

Hey Evie...so happy you had fun on your date night! My hubby and I do them frequently. Dollar Movies...WOW! My husband used to joke about the $10 popcorn! Now it's more than $10 to get in the movie... each...but we only go about twice a year. (I got a small popcorn last time and split it w/ him...) oh the joy's of maintainance! I could go 6 months w/out any other indulgences for my movie popcorn. Is that an addiction? LOL! I hope not... :) 

Hey Paula, darlin'! That $ Theater is a great invention. They will show movies after they've left the 'regular theaters'; so you don't see them right as they debut. I like that though. Because they've been out for a while so you're already privy to the reviews and you know what's good and what to forego. It takes an hour to get there, so we make a day of it; usually doing dinner and two movies. We only get to do that rarely, but it makes for a fun time together. My hubby was such a dear - Paula, he even made himself not buy the popcorn b/c he did not want to eat it in front of me. How selfless is that? We both love movie popcorn and boy, in the old day, the two of us put a hurtin' on the biggest size popcorn. Although it smelled wonderful I said, "Nope" to my brain, "Don't even think about it. Out of the question. Have I made myself clear?" We are stronger than our urges. LOL  

Evie, I use Splenda for sweetening when I use anything. The Torani syrups that I have been able to find are vanilla, caramel, and raspberry. I also have found sime flavored Splendas that are awesome in coffee...vanilla and mocha especially. I use the raspberry syrup over the vanilla/chai carbmaster yogurt for a cheesecake like dessert. 

That's outstanding! It is definitely a known weakness of mine...so I will let money keep me OUT of the theaters as much as possible. Dinner, a movie, and popcorn = $75. night, anyway...so I will just look at it as a savings!!! (that was very sweet of your hubby...)  

Stef, what a neat idea! I love your cheesecake idea with the yogurt. I miss yogurt so much. I can't seem to find any low carb yogurt options here. Hmmm.. 

Paula, I know what you mean. That is an incredulous amount of money to pay for 115 minutes of "entertainment" for two. Now if the movie was 119 minutes, that would be another story! LOL j/k - I know, we're the same way. That is why we choose to drive the distance it takes for a good movie at a buck 50c each. We always have great conversations on the quiet ride there.  

Oh, I love riding in the car chatting w/ my husband! (he's my bf) and we talk about some of the most random things...but it's always good! Like, what happens to animals after death. If it were just the animal...I would say they just die. But pets are so dearly loved by people that I wonder if God makes a way for them to be reunited with their loved ones in eternity??? Or will the Glory of God eclipse everything worldly and we won't even think of that once we are there? You know how people talk about 'near death experiences'...and they often talk about being met by or greeted and welcomed by other loved ones who have already died... why would they be reunited w/ loved ones that are people, and someone else who so dearly loved a pet not be reunited w/ that loved one? See what I mean...we get into some deep discussions on our car travels!!! 

I use the torani SF vanilla syrup in my protein shake with some cream cheese *drools more*  

Hey gals..I see the Torani syrup alot at tjmaxx where they have all the specialty food stuff. If you are lucky enough to have one near you, check it out. I know all the stores have different stuff, but worth a look see. Oh by the way...my hubber is a keeper too. Count me in as one of the lucky ones!  

Evie, the carbmaster yogurt is made by Krpger, but I think Fred Meyer Grocery, Albertsons and a few other chains owned by Kroger carries them. Thanks a million Stef! How kind of you! I have Kroger right close to me; have never seen the carbmaster yogurt,though, but will look closer in the HF section. Thanks for the listings in WV, although, actually I live in Virginia (south western part of the state, so I can understand how that looks a lot like S West Virginia - sorry for any confusion) You are a DEAR to take the time to copy and paste that for me. I will definitely check with the grocier in Kroger if it is not there. You are the BEST! 

I you ahve a Kroger, they should carry it and Kroger is the ONLY company that makes a low carb yogurt that I know of. 

Sorry for the confusion about Va vs W. Va! And it is in the dairy section with the other yogurts...watch though because the carbmaster looks like the low cal, which is not low carb. 

Carbmaster... I had the Vanilla Chai flavor with a few fresh blueberries.. OMG! The carrot cake and Strawberry Colada flavors are great. And I love peppermint tea with SF Vanilla syrup.. soooo good! 

@Evie, glad you and hubby had such a nice time! It's so wonderful to have a man like that in your life. I'm equally blessed. My favorite Torani syrup is the hazelnut. Yummy! Use it in my coffee. @Squigglywiggly I'm able to buy the Torani syrups at Walmart, don't know if that might help you find them cheaper...
