Up 900 gr this morning! I know I didn't overeat yesterday but I didn't walk home because of torrential rain.
Fast day today, but I'll miss my weekly weigh-in tomorrow morning because we're leaving tonight for Ankara to visit MiL who had surgery nearly two weeks ago.
Long weekend away and I'm not expecting good food choices to be available, but I'll do my best.

Down 500 gr again, to 56.6, last week's weigh-in weight. Still another 500gr to reach the lowest recent weight but it may happen by Friday, post ToM.
Normal eating day today, breakfast and lunch planned and prepared. Dinner not certain yet but maybe a few prawns with some salad - fresh-caught prawns are plentiful and cheap at the moment, it just depends how early I get away from work and whether I can be bothered to clean and prepare them! Maybe all small piece of salmon if not - much easier to prepare.
If we have any birthdays in the department we celebrate them at our Wednesday meeting, so there'll be a small piece of birthday cake today, too.
I shared a bottle of wine with my friend last weekend but I haven't had a drink since. I'm going to try very hard not to return to daily drinking - stick to the occasional beer or glass of wine at weekends.

Digestion back on track, thank goodness - I felt so bloated yesterday that I wasn't hungry at all, despite only consuming 550 calories. A drop of 600 gr today.

Note - this journal is for me to record what's going on with my body and may be TMD for some!
OK, so I've been away and offline for the weekend and I'm up to 57.7 this morning which is a gain of 1100 gr since Friday. I think it's not a big deal as it's ToM AND I'm constipated! Being away from my usual food and usual environment often does this to me - I hate sitting in the loo in somebody else's house and consequently, unless things are moving smooth and regular, I have a problem! No movement since Friday a.m. so of course I'm feeling very uncomfortable. I forgot to take my "poo tea" (herbal tea with senna) with me so I drank a cup as soon as I got home last night and I'll drink two more spaced through today and that should sort things out by this evening or tomorrow morning at the latest.
That, together with a fast day today, should get me back to my normal levels, between 56.5 and 57 kg I hope.
Yes, Kingkeld, I am looking at this 5:2 as a long-term, sustainable method of maintenance. Also, as I've said before, there are supposed to be enormous overall health benefits to this way of eating. I have another month of my self-imposed trial period to go so at the beginning of May I'm planning to have some blood tests done and see what's happening. I don't go crazy because it's only ever one day on super low calories and the next day I can eat what I want.

A little bit up on the week which is disappointing but still fine for maintenance. Although I haven't officially changed my goal weight (in writing) I'm still secretly aiming for 55 kg as a long-term goal.
Yesterday's fast was harder because I went back to the original 'rule ' of 500 calories and didn't have a slice of bread with my evening meal. I was pretty hungry in the evening, but stopped myself from eating with the thought - you've done this all day long, don't spoil it now. And it worked.
Having been on the eating plan for almost two months now, I'm sharing it with a colleague at work today who seems interested. I'll lend him the book and see what he thinks.
