I know it's been a while, but lots going on. Obviously I'm still stuck, but I'm proud to see that a 4-day trip to the Highland Games with my Mom didn't result in a huge weight gain! Usually we're in peak leaf peeping season in VT, but leaves are just beginning to turn. The weather is gorgeous, though. I'll take it! Happy Autumn!

Quadripcep enthesopathy. That's what had me benched. Basically, inflammation of the tendons and ligaments where they enter the knee. I've been given the go ahead to start exercising again, but with strict instructions to take it easy. Only 10 minutes on the elliptical. No treadmill. No Stairs. Gentle stretching. Never thought I would be sad about not going to the gym! Loved being back today, but was bummed at the limitations. Tried a new machine. Gotta put together a new floor routine that makes me feel like I'm working without hurting myself.
Had a rough week psyche-wise. Started second-guessing myself over the second job, the new band, and everything else I've agreed to do in the past couple of weeks. Stressing, not being able to work out, being in pain... just made for a week on the low side. Really need to get my spirits and my libido up. Send love and prayers to my poor husband. ;)
Have a fantastic week, everybody!! I need to eat something.

Ironically, I screwed up my knee and haven't been to the gym at all this week. I miss it... which is even more strange. Lots of crazy going on, but managing. Took a second job a few weeks ago and trying to find my groove. I think I may have even joined a band last night. Empty nest means it's time to get back to being me. (SOPHIE! Come sing with me! <3) Doc appt today. Hair appt tomorrow. I'll be a new woman by the end of next week. LOL!

How the heck do you get off a plateau!?? This is ridiculously frustrating. I added exercise into my lifestyle and nothing is changing. Add in the all the aches and pains and I'm not feeling all that positive. I know Doc says my job is to NOT gain weight, but I really don't feel like this should be a thing. WHY would I lose all that weight, then begin exercising and stop? I actually walked out of the gym the other day without doing any of my machines because I feel so dejected. Still did my 30 minutes of cardio and some stretching.
Doc thinks I'm not drinking enough water. Apparently, a woman my size should be drinking close to 3 liters a day. Sheesh! Magnesium was added as a supplement. I had also run out of my probiotic, which I apparently need. Learned that protein uses a lot of water, so if we're eating high protein diets AND we're having a heat spell... in other words "YES" humidity can wreak that much havoc on a body. Unfortunately, I'm still trying to find that glorious balance I had before the heat spell. H.Pylori test was negative. That's a relief! I really didn't want to deal with the antibiotic aftermath.
Time for me to bite the bullet and hit the gym again. (What is the definition of insanity?)
*edited to update: I just got caught following doctor's orders. That felt pretty good! It was also cool to see my doctor practicing what he preaches. :D
