Good Morning Friends!!
It is still bitterly cold here in the Northwest. The forecast calls for a slight warm up in the next few days when we will hopefully be seeing temperatures in the 20's instead of single digits and teens. Whoopee!!
Not much else to say. I have a dentist appointment this morning. It was supposed to be at 7 am but they called and said not to come in until 8 am. So, here I am at work early ... but at least I will finally get my tooth taken care of. I've been putting it off for several months now ... just so much money even with dental insurance it is ridiculous. Oh well. Such is life.
My five for today ...
1. waking up before my alarm during the night to stoke the fires so my husband was able to sleep
2. seeing the scale dip today ...
3. reading on facebook that my son had filet mignon and lobster for dinner last night in Denver ... on his company's tab ... go Josh!!!
4. being able to deal with the frustrations of healthcare
5. reading my buddie's journals ... so much fun!!
I was reading Cindyshine's journal, a comment about changing shoe sizes during pregnancy and it reminded me of something humorous to share with you all. I think I lost weight in my feet!!! Some of the shoes I wore at 200+ are sloppy and loose now!! Isn't that a hoot??? I'm sure some of them were stretched by the weight I carried but still ... I have to wear thick socks with my Danskos now ... of course I can't get rid of them ... those things cost a fortune!! Yea for "skinny" feet!!! LOL!!

Yea for skinny feet!!!lol Good luck at the dentist and congrats on the drop. Lucky son he ate my favorite dinner. I hope it warms up for you there and I hope you have a great day! Oh I agree with you about the journals. They are so much fun to read and comment on. It's wonderful to be able to communicate with so many great people. I love it!!! For me life would be so much more lonely without all of you!

I know what you mean about the skinny feet - when I was fat, I would look at other peoples hands and feet, and see the bones. You couldn't see any bones in my hands or feet. Now, you can!!! I LOVE it!!! LOL Sorry its still so cold there. This morning it was pouring here, and then it stopped, and now its over 60! Hope you have a pain free time at the dentist - I HATE going!!!

LOL, you do lose weight from your feet! Even they have fat. Someone on tv lost a ton of weight, a male I don't remember who. He was being intervied a said he lost an INCH of height!! thats how fat his feet were. He was 300-400lbs tho I believe. Anyone know who I am talking about? Saw you snuck in a loss! You have a great day!

Your weather must have traveled out here! The winds here are at 70mph!!! The temps are dropping, and tomorrow is only supposed to reach the teens. It reminds me of a blizzard around here today. Hope I don't lose power. Last Christmas, there was a TERRIBLE ice storm that knocked power out here in my city for weeks. We came back to our house finally on Christmas Eve, but the pipes had burst. My two boys had fevers and it was just overwhelming...I sat down on the basement steps where no one could see me, and just cried. Then when I got that out of my system, I pulled myself together and started to clean it all up. Wow, what a downer posting I just added to your lovely journal. Maybe I should say something positive...OK... Johnny Depp is really hot! Ha Ha Ha

I need a root canal. Today's visit cost me $486.00 and I was there for 3 hours. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed financially. But ... on the upside ... I have skinny hands and feet!!
