Crazy Awesome News!!!!

MEASUREMENT REPORT:

Since beginning Atkins


Neck ------ down 4 inches
Bust ------ down 7 inches
Stomach --- down 21 inches
Waistline - down 15 inches
Abdomen --- down 18 inches
Hips ------ down 15 inches
Thigh ----- down 10 inches
Arm ------- down 7 inches
Calf ------ down 5 inches

106 lbs shed

Total inches lost = 102 Yahooooo!!!

My emphatic encouragement to you all: Start taking measurements today!! What a motivator -- especially when the scale will not budge. There is proof you are still shrinking -- even if the scale has not caught up with it! The numbers never lie.

Now for reflections.....

I recently learned that those of us who suffer from PCOS have a difficult time with the proteins in dairy products. I learned that dairy could be a major pitfall for us (with PCOS). This is helpful news -- but at the same time it saddens me. After cutting out sooo much crap out of my diet for all these years, I regret to have to give up yet another thing -- that I like, and that I already eat in moderation. Well, this week, I decided to test the hypothesis - and I cut all dairy out of my diet for 4 days straight resulting in a better-feeling me - and 4lb loss - some of which is likely water weight. I have always attributed stalls to PCOS, which is an accurate assumption, but now I learn another component could be the presence of dairy and its troublesome proteins (for me, personally). I am thankful to have learned this -- and very thankful for a new Whoosh! Still gonna be tough to adjust to giving up yet another 'favorite'.

PCOS is "Polycystic Ovary Syndrome". It is often recommended that gals with PCOS move to a LCHF diet for treatment.

As all have stated I, too, am impressed and inspired. I know that this has been a long and arduous challenge at times for you. You have demonstrated the patience of Job and have conquered. I am so proud of you and your hard work. Thank you for sharing with all of us your thoughts and the importance of researching and finding out what our individual bodies require and need. @Gwen, girl, thanks so very much for your kind words. Honey, I must say - your spiritual gift has got to be exhortation. You are so good out building others up! If we were in the same town, there is no doubt that you'd be my very best bud, hanging out and grabbing coffee or lunch together. No doubt!! (I just wish it were the case. :) ) Well, I know you are my sister in Christ, so we'll get to hang out through eternity.
