Many days have flown by. I've mostly done well by stickign to atkins and working out everyday (last week was everyday except Saturday..and Sunday was only my self-defence class, no cardio). 3 social events, two of which I stayed completely dry and didn't eat at all. But the 3rd one undid it all..had indian food with rice and paneer, chips, 7 layer dip, 2-3 pieces tres leches with vodka, many mini samosas (fritters), and some other junk munchies...I suppose that undid it all!!! I went from 136 to 139--overnight!! And that was 2 days ago, so I'll see if the morning shows a restored weight back to the pre-party weight.

TOday I only did my rock-bottom class for 45 and abs for 15. I do feel sore tonight so I guess it did work. Diet has been really good...had only an omelet with 2 eggs, 2 veg links, cheese, and mushrooms/peppers/garlic/ginger. Later 1 string cheese and 1 small sausage patty (veg) and 1/4 glass soy milk. Did have my coffee with cream---can't seem to give that up! I hope I see a loss in the morning..altho I wouldn't count on it the way things have been going lately!! Seem to be in the PLATEAU zone again!!

New rules:
1) continue strict counting of carbs
2)no late night meals..stop eating after 8.30 pm
3) Increase more brocolli and lettuce intake
4) do stomach exercises and exercise before going to bed!
5) do at least 30 mins of intense cardio daily!!
6) coffee...i should really give it up but i'll do that if none of the above works in a week.

I can tell you, I have been low carbing for a year. 1 day of bad eating can put many pounds on overnight.

It must be the tres leches! I had some on Saturday and my weight shot up, too! Better stick to dos leches next time. :) Let's make this a back-to-basics week, my friend! We can do it!

i'm going through the same thing right now. can't seem to break the cycle, i lose a few pounds and then i gain them right back, i need a swift kick in the butt to get motivated in the exercise department. i just feel totally bummed and in a funk right now(i'm hating my job right now, and although i'm looking nothing has opened up yet). could this be holding me back right now? if so okay but i don't want to blow everything i've accomplished so far, i've come a long way baby(lol)! so anyway i didn't want to wine but i totally relate and if you find the kick in the butt you need, could you let me know where and what it was. still searching. good luck, and talk to you soon.

Looks like a good set of rules. Stick to that and you should be fine. I wouldn't give up the coffee either! :)

Thanks guys!! I love having your support!!! Amryk, yes, let's get BACK TO BASICS!!! I'm right there with ya! VF123, I can totally understand the job-related funk..I've been there for the last 8 months!!! But I managed to drag my butt to the gym (thanks to the motivation from my FS buddies, my best friend, the personal trainer I hired and so on)..and it totally paid off!! I have lost more weight in these stressful months instead of gaining..and managed to stick it out with the job deadlines and the workout!! So my point is, do whatever it takes and get started on working out..and then you'll see other areas will come together as well!!! Hugs to ya and good luck! I'm right with you through this personal challenge!

thanks 08willbegreat! i appreciate your support, i am going to try to get moving this week, i know thats whats holding me back right now. i know too that as they say this too will pass, and one day very soon something will come my way and it will be a good thing. for now i just need to not use that as an excuse and get my rear in gear(lol).
