Well, have been sick with a bad cold which made eating difficult and getting out to grocery shop even more difficult. Will tackle that tomorrow, I think. Happy to finally drop below 225. I have been eating too much sugar but otherwise avoided Christmas overindulgence...easy to do as I spent it home alone with my doggies, sick. Thanks to a kind neighbour for bringing me a Christmas dinner doggy bag so I had food for three days. :-) Hope all my FS buddies are enjoying the season.

Well, I've been fighting, and the battle may be lost but I WILL win the war. I show this gain despite sticking to my diet goals relatively well. I know that the change in meds can lead to weight gain and I am determined not to have these meds derail my weight loss.
That being said, I am struggling with almost constant hunger pangs in the evening. I am just eating a few almonds to quiet the gurgling, hollow stomach feeling. And of course, we've been here before with the plateau followed by a sudden drop in weight. I sure hope that is what is happening. In some ways, I would be content if I just made it through the winter without gaining weight.
I am using my light therapy and the change in meds has helped. Helped a little too much, in fact, since I now am fighting some really fun insomnia. It will all level out soon I hope. It would also be really nice to see the sun from time to time but it has been several straight days of cloud cover here...very gloomy.

Today is a new day ! I will control my eating. I will stick to my moderate eating plan!
Can everyone tell by the foregoing that I fell off the wagon yesterday? First time since I started this journey that I really lost control of my snacking. What did it take to make me start binge eating? Coming down with a cold, yup. I am going to have to think on why that is the case. It always has been though. At least this time it wasn't soda pop and chips it was all real food. Progress, I guess.

I am a little late with the weigh-in, but happy with the result. I have lost 30 pounds since the beginning of July and 15 pounds since I joined the TOPS meetings on September 23. This is a good result.
I have been testing out if I can stay on track without logging my food and it seems that I do OK. I did have two cheat days, one eating out with my sister during her visit and then a delicious Christmas dinner with TOPS where I indulged completely.
I have noticed a tendency to crave more sugar with the fatigue and depression I am battling against. I have to work hard to keep my coffee consumption down. I have even caved into consumption and eaten two candy cane donuts (my favorite) from Tim Hortons.
I visited my GP and she changed my medication for the depression and poor sleep. I know there will be a transition period, but I hope it helps. I have been experiencing more pain from the FM too, which makes the depression worse. A bit of a vicious cycle. I have maintained my walking but I have not been out to swim lately. I know it is good for me and I want to get out there again over the next few days, before my swimsuit gets too big.
I hope my American FS warriors had a lovely Thanksgiving and are recovering from all the yummy food!
