Things are looking better and trending back downwards. I'm much more in control. I've decided that I'm going to weigh-in daily & journal daily until my birthday on April 18. Then I'll go back to weekly weigh-ins.

I'm 99.999% convinced that it's drinking water that keeps me from over eating. When I'm dehydrated I start craving sweets. With all the hot yoga I do, I really need to be careful that I stay hydrated. *raises glass of herbal tea* Cheers!

I'm so excited I just had a great run. I ran 4 miles straight. It's my first time going that far. My friend S taught me a great trick for running on the tread mill - cover the console so that you can't tick away the seconds in your head. I planned on doing 35 minutes of running at 6.2 MPH, but after the 35 mins, I decided to do another 5. Which took me to break the 4 mile barrier. So totally happy. I was planning on doing a 4 mile run at a park near my house on Saturday, but questioned if I could run that far. Now I know it and I'm totally going to do that 4 miles. :-)

So, something interesting happened this morning. I used my body fat analyzer thingamajiggy and it says that I've dropped another % point. So, now my body fat is 20.3% It was 21.7% a month ago. That means that all of this extra eating my body has been insisting upon is due to a muscle gain and not a weight gain. That feels good to know. I'm so glad I've got the BFA machine because it has really helped keep me sane in times where I'm sure I'm gaining weight or plateauing.

I think I know where I've been gaining that extra muscle -- in my legs. Although my jeans are staying the same in the waist, they are getting awfully tight on my legs. In fact, my "straigh-leg" jeans are starting to feel and look like skinny jeans. Now, if I could just gain a little bit of this muscle in my butt, I would be totally happy. I still have no ass.

That said, I'm still working on getting myself better under control. I can do that be eating better foods, making better choices, and drinking more water. All of those things help me to maintain control.

Today's weigh-in has me down 1.2 pounds since yesterday. I'm still a bit puffy in the fingers so I know I've probaly got a pound or so of water weight left to lose. Avoiding sugary foods will help the most on that one. I puff up more from sugar than from salt.

"Out-of-control" should be my new middle name. What the heck has happened to me? I've really had a hard time controlling my eating for the last two weeks. So, of course I haven't been posting what I've eaten.

This Saturday will be my last weigh-in and then I'll be WW Lifetime member. Is that it? I've never gotten to goal nor made it this close to achieving my desired weight. Could it be that I'm so freaked out about maintaining that I'm going a little wack-o on my eating?

What ever it is, I need to pull my head out of my ass and get back with the program.

Here's the plan for getting back on track:

1) journal every day
2) weigh-in every day (this will be especially painful)
3) log all food -- even if I go over my RDI
4) drink water (1 gallon every day)
5) no sweets -- went a little sugar wacky

OK, here I go. Back on track. Daily accountability.
