Although I have not eaten perfectly, I haven't over indulged. But for the last 18 days I have had the flu/cold. I still cannot stop coughing and wheezing, so I haven't been able to work out at all. I feel like a couch potato. But I know that if I start to work out when I cannot breath correctly that will only make things worse. Since the time has changed I am eager to get outside. Maybe I will start with small walks just to get out the house for a bit. Fingers crossed this goes away soon.

This week was my son's birthday, pizza party so obviously my diet was skewed. But I am happy to say that my lack of love for cake with icing on it helped me say no to dessert. But then the entire family fell ill, So my exercising has been halted. But I am relieved that, what I have been able to control, has been paying off. A few more pounds down, yay!

So this is my six week weigh in. I had decided to hide my scale for the first six weeks so I wouldn't get discouraged and quit again. I have lost 12 lbs since I started six weeks ago. But only five from my last weigh in (the one that had me hide my scale). I am very excited that I have finally seen the low 180's, but in six weeks and exercising 6 days a week, I was looking for a bit more. Especially knowing the first 7 lbs came off in one week. On the upside, my clothes are fitting better and I feel better both emotionally and physically better. So here is another six weeks! Slow and steady wins the race!

Because I didn't want to fall into the New Years Resolution Funnel of Doom, I started to really focus on my exercise and diet on the 30th of December (Because those 2 days will keep me from falling into the curse of the new years' resolution)haha.
So I began in late December. By January 10th I found myself obsessing over the scale, which of course, we all know is the worst thing you can do. So I had a family member hide my scale so I would not worry about the day to day changes. My plan is to weigh in at 6 weeks. So, on February 17th I will officially have a number. I am not following a particular diet. I am simply eating healthier and exercising daily. Which, for me, is HUGE! I was a couch potato before, so getting up at 5am every morning for my workout was a task in its own.
I was to be optimistic for my weigh in, but I am afraid to get my hopes up. I really do not want to be disappointed. I am worried I will stop. And honestly, with as good as I am feeling now, I don't want to stop. To Fail. It's just not an option this time. So I move forward knowing I will rock this weigh in...10 more days!
