My 33 year old husband and I (30 years old) are trying to both lose about 40 pounds. We both have unhealthy family health histories, with diabetes and heart disease being very prevelant. We have 2 sons ( 3 1/2 and 3 months) that we would like to be able to run and play with more often rather than feeling tired all the time. We are both big snackers and like sweets and salty things. It seems like the South Beach Diet would be best for us since it focuses on changing your cholesterol, trigylcerides and diabetes.
