I spent most of my adult life destroying my body. Little by little and day by day. In high school I was athletic and very active in sports, after high school life happened and I went from an athletic healthy young man to a depressed couch potato. In my early twenties I decided on getting back in shape and making a conscious effort to become active again. I began exercising daily (weightlifting and cardio) and modified my diet to a healthier although not sustainable diet. This continued until my mid to late twenties. I lost weight and my body became muscular again. unfortunately the damage was already done, during one of my heavy lifting sessions in 2003 I suffered a heart attack. This was a major blow to me mentally, emotionally and physically. Depression set in again and maintaining the lifestyle I was supposed to be living became very difficult. I slipped into a rut in which I became sedentary and the weight and my health continued to slip. In 2005 I was diagnosed with diabetes II , I have struggled to regain control over my health since.
