Good Morning!!!

Well yesterday, even though rain was in the forecast we actually had SUN!! Had to break out the sunglasses during my travels for work. Very nice!!!

Today marks day 3 of "back to reality" and I am down 6.6 lbs. Still a long way to go to get back under 200 but a very nice jump start. Three days in a row of exercise on my elliptical too. I am feeling much more like "can do" and much less like "oh crap."

Of course my work often helps me regain my perspective and yesterday I had a visit with a family that reminded me how much I have to be grateful for. Because I respect the family's confidentiality I won't say much about it other than ... I am a rich woman with many positives and I need to remember that.

I also caught up my weight chart. Those of you who have known me for a while know I don't record every fluctuation but given the gain of the past 2 months I wanted to be able to see it on my chart. I biggest gain was in the last three weeks. Unbelievable. I do know how to pack in the calories!! Very talented, I am.

I have some "dates" coming up that I want to feel my best for. I am in charge of hostessing a community training on May 7th then I am facilitating a 2 day training on May 17th and 18th for a new home visiting program in Southern Idaho. I won't be at "goal" but I will be in much better shape by both those dates which equals more clothing options!! LOL!! I have a birthday coming up too ... in less than 2 weeks. I had wanted to be at goal by my birthday. Obviously that isn't happening now but I will have 2 solid weeks of being on track by then and will likely be able to celebrate with an indulgence meal from a place of strength and not obsession with eating.

And so ... grateful Moose is back.

I am grateful for perspective.
I am grateful for having the best buddies in the universe here on fatsecret.
I am grateful for not giving up on myself.
I am grateful for a body that works, a husband who loves me AlWAYS, and all the positives in my life.
I am grateful for accepting my frailty.

Time to get showered and ready for my day. Life IS good. Thank you all for being here for me ... I need you EVERY day.

Yay for sunglasses! And CONGRATS on the weightloss, Carol. Look at that nice drop on your chart. Great job. Yay for birthdays and for Moose being back. Thank goodness. Life IS good. HUGS, girl!

Great job on taking control again, Carol. I do the same thing with my weight tracking. When I go on a binge and my weight skyrockets, I get embarrassed to record it, until I've started a positive (or negative?) trend again. And like you, then I want to see my progress again. Just don't forsake your friends here. We love you whether you are losing weight or gaining weight. Heck, this is a support group - not the Gestapo! Good job!

Its good to see you in a positive frame of mind again. I know only too well how easy it is to forget all the things you have to be grateful for and sink into the 'pit of despair'. Keep up the good work.
