Morning!!

I appreciate the encouragement. Funny thing is the first week back from vacation I did great. Second week? Oh not great at all!!! Today though is the day and I am determined to be kinder to myself. I will not however weigh right now. I KNOW I've gained. I can feel it. If I do not stay on track then I will make myself get on the scale to SHOCK myself back to reality. However, I am confident I can get myself back to healthier living without the shock.

I'm going to focus on protein, protein, protein for now and lots of water. I don't feel well at all and it is any wonder. So much sugar. My joints hurt. I am also going to work on quitting smoking, again. Seems to me the older I get the more bad habits I acquire. I smoke, I eat too much of the wrong things, I love INSTANT gratification of almost any kind!! Geesh.

Hubby is off nights so he can help keep me honest. The evenings are the most difficult time for me. He has noticed I have been eating like crap. He is so kind though ... or maybe it is scared of me??!!! LOL!!! I know how to do this and it will be wonderful to be feeling better as the weather improves and we can get outside and do more things.

I'm behind at work (what else is new?) so I better get at it. Have a wonderful day!!

You are an inspiration , I see how you have shook it off and gotton right back on the horse before. That is the true lesson we all have to learn how to manage it for life..But I see it can be done, Thank you.

Yep its hard after a vacation to get a grip..but you can do this..you have done this..I am hoping to quit smoking as well..I have cut down to 10 a day from 2 packs..so I'm on my way..its more the habit than the addiction that gets us..its the perfect drug...helps if you sad, happy, its wakes you up and helps you sleep..also it gives you something to do with your hands..just perfect...I'm rooting for you my friend...:O)

3 of my siblings quit smoking. I am so proud of them. I am struggling with food crap as well. Trying to do the protein thing too-now just have to lose the chocolate and wine thing I've got going....so glad you are back. I challenge you to a no crap day tomorrow.

@Densible - I quit smoking after 25 years, then a year later I came here and lost 80 pounds. Changing the way you eat is far harder. You don't have to smoke to live, but you have to decide EVERY day for the rest of your life how to eat ;)
