It is difficult to believe the scale. It said 207 this morning. Is that even possible?

I'm feeling ... well ... odd. Not awful not great ... just odd. Perhaps it is my body adjusting to this massive protein influx. I had breakfast first this morning. I actually do have my exercise clothes on but haven't done it yet. I need to though. We have a cord of wood being delivered today and I would like to have exercise and a shower behind me before the wild wood selling family arrives with their truck load of wood.

Only 3 more pounds and I will FINALLY be able to record a loss here on fatsecret. My last weigh-in here was 39 days ago. UGH. Scratch the "ugh." I have been learning. Perhaps I don't know exactly what I've been learning but I have been learning. There are no "failures" simply opportunities to learn and grow.

I miss CRUNCHING things. Meat isn't particularly crunchy ... nor is poultry, fish, eggs ... and so forth. I am actually aiming for 2 weeks of pure protein (more or less) and then thought I would try Dukan's idea of alternating pure protein days with protein and veggie days. I am going to be very ready for a salad!!!

My target is close to 180 by the new year. That's the ultimate goal, the bulls-eye!!. The minimum goal is under 200. The mid-range would be near 190. I know I will exceed the minimum. It really is up to me. Freaks me out just a little ... coming into the holiday season. However, I do recall years when I did not gain weight through the holidays. It is up to me. I am responsible. My choice.

And so ... I am kind to myself. I like myself!! I love my body!! I take care of myself. I make $100,000 a year. I am a successful business woman and entrepreneur. I manage our finances wisely and responsibly. I am a non-smoker. I sleep well. I pay close attention to what my body needs, respond accordingly and my body loses weight. I am organized and efficient. I plan well and follow through. I am an expert in my field. People pay me for my expertise. Our wood shed is full. We have money saved for a vacation in Mexico in February 2012. Our dental needs are met. I am responsible. I am determined. I believe in myself. I persevere!!

Today I am grateful for ...

A morning alone.
Renewed determination.
Hot coffee!!!
Migraine medication.
A productive weekend!!

Cloudy, damp, cool ... that's the weather for today. Well I must move this gorgeous body of mine ... it does much better when I keep it moving. Take care of yourselves ... be good to yourselves ... responsibility, kindness ... they really do go hand in hand!!!

1st congrats on the number on the scale! With your positive attitude and determined spirit I am sure you will exceed your goal! don't obsess over crazy diets. just eat healthy and stay consistent.

Oh, Carol, it is possible...very possible, keep up the great work. If you are craving something crunchy, try pork rinds with hot sauce! MMM good stuff. And if you continue to feel "odd", try drinking a cup of full sodium chicken broth. It will help! Hugs, my beautiful 50 something friend! You are awesome!

Carol, even low carbers eat veggies! So crunch away. Hope you feel better. Thanks for your comments on my journals, I appreciate knowing you read them and you make me smile a lot. Enjoy those veggies. Hope the scale continues to dip for you and that you begin to feel better. Don't forget it may be the Atkins flu so have some packaged chicken broth on hand, you may need the salt.
