Good Wednesday Morning!

Yesterday was a good day. Ate well, exercised, accomplished a few things at the office, worked on a few things at home, very positive.

I am reading a book, Maximum Achievement, and am reminded of the power of my thoughts, of my inner life. And so ... this morning I am focused on being mindful of what I want rather than what I do not have, what I fear.

I am strong & tall.
I am long & lean.
I weigh 180 lbs.
Health & harmony are throughout my mind and body.
People pay me for my expertise.
I am financially stable.
I earn $100,000 a year.
I am capable.
I am smart.

I am lovable.
My trainings have a waiting list to register.
I am determined.
I am worth it.
I crave healthy foods.
I am satisfied with healthy foods.
I plan and finish things.
I am an excellent communicator.
I take care of myself.
I sleep well.
I am kind to myself.

You get the idea. I feel better just saying it!

I am grateful today for ...

1. Cathy's recommendation of the book via her husband!
2. My husband's laughter.
3. Finishing my brochure and ordering it!
4. My "outside employment" was approved.
5. My husband's stock pick was up .16 this morning.

And so ... time to focus on here and now. I don't do "challenges" here on fatsecret ... so I'm not going to make this an official challenge but I do challenge all of you, my dear buddies, to join me in practicing kindness to yourself, belief in yourself, changing our thoughts to match what it is we desire, acting "as if" it is here now. Who knows??? It surely couldn't hurt or make things more difficult. I realize I have been the one who makes things difficult for myself. No one else has the power to do that. I choose it. I am not always be conscious that I am choosing it, but choose it I do. I'm going to practice choosing something different. Taking my power back. Believing in myself.

Love it! The challenge is to find that "decisive moment" and make the choice. For me, it's about slowing down and becoming aware of my inner critic and challenging him (definitely a him) with a reality check. And when that does not work, I choose optimism. Definitely an active process. Wonder if you've ever practiced mindful meditation? I try to start each day with a few minutes of simply sitting and practicing breath awareness. Enjoy your wonderful day!

You are such an awesome friend and buddy. I love your journal and I'm glad you are enjoying the book. When I get settled in more I will start reading it as well. It just seems that I have no time lately. I am still adjusting to being here and the 2 days have sped by. I think that's a good sign. I am looking very forward to having a skype chat very soon.

Densible ... I have practiced mindfulness meditation but not on a consistent enough basis to stick!! LOL!! I believe my inner critic is a "he" as well (no father issues there!!). Julia ... you too are a really cool person!!! Welcome aboard!! Cathy ... you MUST give Steve a big hug from me to show my gratefulness for the book. I too am looking forward to a Skype chat. We need to schedule it!!!

Hi Carol, another great journal entry. I hope your positive thoughts reap those positive rewards. I was on vacation last week, back at work this week - never thought I'd say I'm glad to be back in a food free routine! I gotta get that skype thing too so I can chat to Cathy too.
