Our family has had a sobering reminder over the last few days of how important it is to take care of your body. I know some things just happen and they can't be controlled, like my Uncle's stroke they other day. Fortunately he was in the doctors office when it happened. Or there was the visit to the ER for my 93 year old Gram who suffers from regular UTI's. Yesterday my Aunt was taken to the hospital because she collapsed, her heart stopped twice. Now she is sedated, and back on dialysis and they are fixing her potassium, it was too low. Some things can't be controlled but some can and it is up to me to live as healthy as I can, i owe it to me.
