Back home and not feeling super great. My neck is stiff and sore, I was congested all night ... hope I'm not getting sick. It's been a while since I've been sick though so I guess I shouldn't complain. My hubby quit smoking, again, on Monday while I was out of town. He's been rather grumpy ... distant ... and silly me ... I automatically assume I've done something wrong. Old habits die hard. Maybe old habits never completely die. It is just a time, I know. Still ... these are not my favorite moments.

Eating is way off target lately. So much travel, so out of my routine. I'll find my way back soon.

Moose welcome home. Inner peace. You have acheived this state many times, sometimes for moments, even for hours, and so you know what inner peace feels like. Part of growth is learning to create that feeling without being dependent upon things turning out a certain way or needing people to respond to you in a specific way. You want to create it as something you are and be able to give and share it with others. You become the center, radiating your soul's light outward, rather than reacting, waiting for others or for situations and events in your life to be arranged in such a way that you have peace. Creating inner peace, opening your heart. You know how, you know who you are as I've seen in your writings so many times, let things flow around you without touching or affecting your sense of peace. You will find your way back. We both know it. Great job of your hubby to try and quit smoking. I wish him much success. I hope you are not coming down with something and feel more like yourself tomorrow. You've been running around alot lately and maybe you're just run down. Try and rest up tomorrow. Thinking of you! I sincerely hope you are not getting sick. Vit. C might help... I don't know what's in the air these days that make us feeling icky, but I sure hope it won't last! The fact that you were away from home and out of your routine might affect your stress level, a good weekend of rest will for sure make you feel better. You're in my thoughts, I wish you a great relaxing day. And tell your hubby to go in the woods if he is grumpy, maybe he can make friend with a grumpy bear! LOL just kidding, I know how hard it is to quit smoking...

Hey Carol, hope by the end of the week-end you feel physically better. I hear you about feeling its "you" Whenever my husband is 'funky' my first thought is 'what have I done' even when I know I've done nothing. Maybe a woman's thing, guilt? Maybe just yours/my make-up? Who know? You haven't been around much so it can't be you. He just needs a smoke! Congrats on him stopping. Hope you can keep it up. Feel better friend.

I'm right there with ya, madaboutmoose...my eating if off target as well. Too many social functions, special occasions, etc. It's the time of year, always my biggest challenge, and it's going to get tougher over the next couple of months. Time to dig deep and find that inner resolve! lol Hope you're feeling better today. :)

Hi Moose ~ I'm sorry I haven't been to any journals in a good while, been dealing with my own demons. Been a rough couple of weeks at my house and I simply didn't have the strength or opportunity to go to FS. I also have not been good. I did fine for a while then this weekend blew it. But, back on the horse, you too, right? Got to get off what I gained and try harder to get to goal. This post is to your Saturday journal, so I hope when you see it, you are feeling better. Quitting the smoke habit is tough. Been there, done that. Hope all is well and hubby is feeling a tad better with his quitting. I need to find time to go back and see what is going on. Be well, Moose and thanks for finding time to say hi to me.

Carol, I came here and commiserated with you on Saturday eveing, but guess I forgot to hit submit, before exiting. I completely understand how you feel. I have been down with the same thing since last Wednesday. Haven't exercised since Wednesday either. I am going to try today, but no promises. As for the hubby, I know exactly what you mean...if hubby is quiet, seems out of sorts, or grumpy, I immediately jump to the conclusion that it must be something I've done...silly, but as you say, old habits....hope that today is finding you feeling a bit better. Wanted to pop in before I leave town...read several past journals to get my daily dose of your wisdom...Kindness will be at the forefront of my mind while I'm away...I have a 4 pound gain in 17 days and MUST get it off...Hopes you're feeling better Carol...I miss you too...take care and I'll be back on Monday...huggggs

Hi Moose, I know you will be back when you can. We all have to take a break sometime. I did and so do others. We worry, but as long as you assure us periodically that you are OK, we are OK then too. Take your time, and, as you say, be good to yourself. You are very busy lately and that takes priority over FS. We will be here waiting for your return and your grateful list. Be good, be safe and just know we miss you a lot. :-)
