Well, so my miracle-scale finally caught on and realized it was giving away free losses!!! So, this morning, I see a gain of 2 pds...now THAT makes sense considering I did indulge some yesterday.
I went to a winetasting in the afternoon, and sampled 5-6 different wines, totalling to no more than 2 glasses at most, if that. The food there looked very rich, so I opted for a small appetizer of a pizzette-type thing, which was a grilled veggie pizza with some delicious cheese on a thin crust...
Had an early dinner at a middle-eastern restaurant and ordered a mujadara pocket which involves a large white pita bread stuffed with salad leaves, tomatoes, etc., cooked lentils, rice...some fried onions on the side of which I had only 2 slivers, and got some yourt-tahini dressing. No appetizers, desserts, juices etc.
At night, some friends were getting together for drinks, dancing etc. We started off at my favorite wine bar, but this time I had a headache (even though I'd been drinking water all along, had eaten plenty, and even snacked on almonds and a luna bar on the way over AND had taken an advil in preparation). However, not wanting to risk anything, I drank ginger ale for half the evening at the wine bar...and finally got 1 glass of wine a little later. Headache stayed at bay--thank god! But for various reasons, I called it an early night and left at 11.15 pm (yeah, lame, I know, for a Saturday night, especially the night of my birthday--and believe me, I did get some flak for that!)..Whatever. Part of growing up is realizing when to quit--and to do so while you're still ahead and out of trouble!
Thus, the total food tally is kinda as below: fiber one cereal with light soy milk (2) 12 almonds (2) 2 laughing cow ff cheese wedges (2) 1 luna bar (3) 1 pizzette (8?) 2-3 glasses of wine (6?) 1 mujadara pocket (pita (4), lentils (3), rice (4), oils (2), dressing (2) 1 wasa cracker (0.5) with some smoked cheese (1)
Rounding up to 36 points or so!!! That should explain the 2 pound gain this morning! (especially from the sugars in the wine, and the salts in the restaurant food)
P.S: No EXERCISE still! Ok, ok, don't start wagging your fingers yet---I do plan to go do a good workout today! I PROMISE!
