Pretty decent day, all things considered.
My writing deadlines are progressing slowly, with more bumps than I had anticipated, but at least it progress in the right direction. I was on a roll this morning and just wanted to continue working, hence pushed off my work-out to later in the day.
Planned my meals to be relatively lower on points and carbs to conserve for dinner out..and the plan was to do a good work out beforehand. So, everything went according to plan. Went to the gym in the evening, did 30 mins of walk/run on the treadmill (incline of 3, speed 3.5 to 5.0, and 230k burned), and also did about 20 mins of weights (12-15 pds, 2 sets with 12 reps each of bicep curls, lateral raises and tricep lifts). I feel a little frustrated and worried that my running-fitness level is still so limited..I would get pretty winded at the end of each 1-1.5 min run interval, and did only about 8.5 mins of them (total 8)...I worry if I'll ever be able to run continuously and steadily, and without feeling like I'm going to IMPLODE!! I'm gonna have to force myself to start and stick to the c25k run program--maybe that'll help me get there!
Dinner out was at a place that specialized in variations of tofu, tempeh, seitan, and all kinds of faux meats. I had a whole wheat spinach pie containing tempeh salad (not fried,but did contain mayo), and the dough in the pie would certainly bump up the carb-count, and hence possibly show a gain tomorrow...but I have tried to cut back where I could--and drank about 3 liters of water or so.
I will concede today's challenge--there's no way to know how many points were in that meal tonight. So, here's me LETTING badandee win! ;)
Meals and points for the day:
½ cup fiber one cereal w/ ½ cup vanilla soy milk (2) Celery with 1 tbsp red. fat pb (2) ½ cup grapes (0.5)
Green beans roasted with walnuts (2) 1 veggie patty (2) Coffee with cream and milk (1.5)
Dinner: probably 8 pts for spinach pie, 3 for cheese, 2 for mayo, 4 for tempeh (17 pts?)
Total: 27 pts Minus 4 pts for workout Net: 23 pts(Hence lost the under-20 challenge for today!)

I think you still did great, all things considered! Let BA win. You had a nice meal out and a successful workout. Great way to "lose"! I can't recommend the C25K program enough. I can say with complete confidence that if I can do it, anyone can do it. I never thought I would be able to do it. It sounded impossible. But I stand as living proof that it works. So give it a whirl. Running does wonders for the butt and thighs!

Oooooh....faux meats.....sounds nasty!!!! Don't worry. I went over 20 today too. I know.....let's change the challenge to see how many days we can go OVER 20! Then we'll beat BadAndee....hee hee hee :)
