I had a great fun weekend and hope you did too. I am feeling great. I have a bounce in my step, and just eating basic, staple foods -
Today had 3 eggs for lunch, beef stick in the eggs, butter ,pepper in there and some green beans separate so far -
I'll probably eat a salad tonight with onion, tomato, chicken, avacado dressing with some ranch - I'll throw some peppercinis on it - Sometimes I'll put hot sauce in and make it a buffalo chicken salad -
I have a somewhat active office / warehouse job so I am not sitting at desk - I can't measure calories burned , could lift 1000 or 1500 in a day or 200 - I walk a lot and drink lots of fluids - I drink too much no calorie diet soda with caffeine but that is my guilty pleasure - Some of you folks are champs and go right by the book - I salute you!!!
Tomorrow, I'm thinking stirfry for breakfast with rotisserie chicken pieces, onion, broccoli , mushrooms and a little soy sauce for flavor -
Lunch , eggs with the jerky again, a sliced tomato with salt and pepper.
Dinner - I got probably a small salad and thinking of shrimp and chicken stir fry again with onions, mushroom, broccoli - I have found that the broth nutrients keep me full and help burn energy -
Snacks -
I drink my soda, water, 5 calorie crystal light packs and do those summer pops the kids eat - The long plastic wrap things about 8" or a 12" long and that helps me feel full - I might eat a sliced tomato, cucumber, celery or a small salad for a snack - One of those - I eat pork rinds, like the hot ones - I have to watch the salt and maybe have a cup or 2 -
I have a boring menu but I incorporate burger, or steak also with vegetables.
Salads , soups, stirfry, omelettes are my kind of basic meals at this point -
When I get a too much variety, I loose control -
My biggest successes have been no breads, no pasta (!#~$), little or no cheese and no milk although eating eggs for dairy which are wonderful. I am eating vitamins for calcium and probably have to watch that more. I do cheat with an ice cream bar once in a great while but I know what will happen. I'll take the consequences for a couple of days -
No sugar at all, or very little - I put pasta sauce on my eggs with some hamburger for example and about 4 grams of sugar which is really my limit - The sauces have all of the calories I find.
Try this for dessert - Whip cream, blue berries, 1 pack hot cocoa with ice or water for taste - Make a smoothie out of that - Wowee - If you are into nuts, and or other fruit, put that on top of your smoothie or put it into a bowl -
I am planning more soups but time has got the better of me right now and I have a crock pot . That would do - I love a tomato juice base with tomato paste, and I use stock made from chicken - I love vegetable soup with carrots, onions , okra good, whole canned tomatoes are great, green beans , kidney beans, celery, maybe some corn but very little - I like to use pepper, salt, thyme, - Chicken soup is great also.
- I wanted to mention on my stir fry I add a lot of broth, and or water and almost make it a soup / stirfry - The access fluid / broth will help you feel full and help burn energy and fat in the body - Bulk items when I have started, have sat in my stomach and I felt just too full. Whereas salads and soups have made the start and ongoing process more my way of eating at the moment. -
I started this at 10:30 central this morning and I'm done at 5:18 - This was a heck of a rambling session. I am very sorry for your loss of time - I really pulled a lot out of myself. My head hurts. If this helps 1 person , that would be wonderful -
