ok I kinda had a mental breakdown yesterday, I cried when I saw pictures of myself and how obese I am. I think I hit my breaking point, I AM going to do this, and I AM going to succeed. I just hope philip is supportive enough.... I know I should be able to do this on my own, but a little hlep would be nice.

It's all in our hands. But most of those around us will never really understand what it feels like to be obese. How this is nothing you can simply switch on or off. How you not just can go cold turkey like when you quit smoking. Rely on yourself, you need to gain the strength to control yourself. And any support you receive beside this will only accelerate your success! Good luck with your diet!

My biggest problem is will power. The eating I can do ok on, but it th will power to drag myself to gym (Which is pretty bad considering I have one in my building) and also I find working out boring. I need a set routine...I just get bored with it after like 3 minutes. Any ideas? (And I am too broke to join any of the classes I want to do)

find a routine in a magazine and just add jogging to it I run for 10 mins to start the do strength training for about 25 mins then finish off with another jog about another ten mins, just do squats,lunges and a little weights just arms to start try this, then maybe crunches,do some bike work as well if you have one, just switch with these every week YOU WILLL DO IT!!

There is a lot you can do. You can put on music and dance around your house while you clean. Go to the library and rent a couple of different workout cd's a week and give them a try. You might find one you enjoy. There is everything from pilates to bootcamp workouts. There are short ones that kick your butt like Jillian Michaels 30 day shred (20 minutes and you can use soup cans for weights). If that doesn't entice you, get a cheap radio with earphones (or an ipod, whatever you have) and go for a walk when you have time. Walking is great exercise, costs no money (just a good pair of sneakers), and can be enjoyable once you get going. Take the stairs instead of the elevator some times. All those little things can add up to more calories burned. It takes at least 3 weeks to make something a habit. You just have to force yourself to do it.

I to get bored with working out. I tried to find work out partners but they either live to far or they just like to workout alone. I know exactly what your going through. Its harder to get motivated when your "alone" however once you get into the habit of it you will be fine. I am in the beginning of working out alone and I find that the more I do it the more I am fine. Its just the beginning that is difficult. Just try to get over the starting hump and then you will be fine and have faith in yourself.

You CAN do it. If you haven't been working out, start slow. I find when I am away from exercise I want to push it too hard in the beginning - that makes me hurt and I get discouraged. Start with walking...there are great at home walking DVDs by Leslie Samsome. Remember you are doing this for you...the new you!! :-)
