I think I'm finally kicking the cold. It's been a couple of rough days, but I feel like I'm getting there. Today is Saturday, which means a somewhat short journal (well, let's see...) for a couple of reasons:
1. I'm usually on the go on Saturdays.
2. Waking up later in the morning means less time to myself, and I like to not be rushed doing my journal.
3. I'm already on the go and doing my first attempt on jounaling from my new tablet. Wish me luck and please forgive any and all errors and strange autocorrects.
I'm currently on the bus with La Familia, on our way to visit my brother. Since we weren't able to be together for Christmas, we decided to do it today. They don't live more than an hour away from us, but we don't get to visit each other too often. I'm really looking forward to today.
My brother is a musician too, so I brought my bass guitar and we have planned to do a little jamming it'll be fun.
Dinner tonight will be pretty much as our Christmas Eve dinner, along with some beers and ice cream dessert. It's a good thing that it's Indulgence Day!
So, as some of you predicted, it didn't take long. Wife is so excited about her new tablet that she couldn't keep her mouth shut, or wait giving Daughter her gift. I gotta say I was against it, but what can you do, right? Well, daughter loves it! I can't wait to see how she will implement it in her art. It's a fun challenge for her. Of course, now comes the problem of finding something for her birthday. I love that Wife gets so excited about things, but sometimes it's trouble! Oh well, we'll survive. I'm glad that Daughter loves her toy.
Wow. Time is going by fast. I kinda like typing on this thing. Sure, it's not as comfortable or fast as a regular pc with a good keyboard, but it's not really a hassle either. I think it's awesome that I can do this on the go. Bus rides are boring and this makes a much more fun ride. I like it.
Maybe later I will get a chance to read all the journals I've been missing while I was sick. I hope so. I like to read journals. There's so much inspiration.
Today I'm thankful for:
- my tablet for on-the-go jounaling.
- getting to spend a day with my brother and the whole family.
- FINALLY last day of Christmas for us.

Glad you're feeling better, but make sure you take extra good care of yourself. Colds often take. Fair amount of time to get over. Your daughter is going to do amazing things with her tablet. I just know it. It's her medium. Glad she likes it ... ...even early. So is this the brother who has a wedding coming up?

Morning Keld, Glad you are enjoying your new toy and that the cold is in retreat. I am enjoying my new toy....the much talked about fitbit ultra. Not quite had it 24 hrs yet but I think I am in love lol! I can't help but think it would be perfect for the gadget man who walks a lot, takes the stairs, rather than a lift and is looking to accurately record the cals expended, so he can do the math on his cal deficit....do you know anyone like that?....Have a fun family day XX

Morning Keld, glad you are feeling a bit better. Jamming with your brother sounds fun :-). I too have been playing with a new gadget - a rechargeable window vac - not as glamourous as a new tablet or a fitbit, but I am loving it.

Morning! Glad that you're getting over that cold. I'm sure your daughter is happy that you didn't wait to give her the present, no matter what it means she'll get on her actual birthday. :) Enjoy your family and indulgence day!

Glad you're feeling better! I know you'll have a good time, but do get some rest this weekend. You're bod needs SLEEP when it's ailing, even when you're on the mend. (I'm a mom, can't help it!)
