I am struggling with my weight. I quit smoking, lost my Dad, lost my career, my home, my dog and awful relationship all over last 6 mos. I work 6 days a week now at a dead end minim wage jobs. I am lonely, tired and "I don't care button" seems to be active. I am so not motivated. AS watch myself get bigger... I think what a waste I fake being happy with friends and family but in the end I hate my life, I am depressed and its shows on me by weight just pilling on. My only friend is food. It just sucks now......

Sorry to hear about all your difficulties. Have you considered councelling at all? People are here to support you when you need it. Take care... ***" take care of yourself mentally, physically and spiritually"**** We all need some faith on this journey.

Prayer helps me... when I forget to pray I eat like a dork. I also have a new rule - no carbs after 7pm. I can still eat a salad or fruit. But my dressing is simply a basalmic vinegar. You can do it Sherry!!!

I'm sorry you are going through hard times. Be kind to yourself. When you eat healthy and lose weight, you start feeling better mentally and physically. Exercise can help with your stress levels too. With all those doors closing, somewhere there's an open window. Think of now as chance for whole new opportunities, to make a change to the life you want to live. You can do it.! Believe in yourself!

You're focused on the negative. Start focusing on what is going right in your life. You are a beautiful woman. You have a job. You have friends. Everyday look for things that you are grateful for......and slowly things will change. Just try it.

I agree w gliattitd, prayers help me too. I have to make an effort to ask for help from He who is stronger than me. It really does make a difference. I have horrible cravings that actually bring on anxiety. but i had a friend who reminded me to pray and yesterday I ate as planned and I know it was bc of prayer. none of us have the strength alone, we all need help and encouragement. staying positive will eliminate the depression. no matter what you do wrong, just admit it, dust yourself off, and go again. it does get easier. i quit smoking after 25 yrs and i know how you feel. i used to have a ciggerette and now it's food, and food tells on you on the outside instead of the inside. it's just a learning curve and you have to quit eating the same way you quit smoking. i'm still trying to learn that. you are in my prayers and i hope to see happy and good reports for you and the rest of us. keep your head up! we are here to help each other. God bless you on your journey.
