Decided to give Crossfit another try, this time at a different location, and also with a friend. Overall a MUCH better experience. I went yesterday morning and did an actual full class, since I already did the on ramp class at the first location. Well the class was very challenging, but not so much that I felt too horrible while doing it. We chose an easier first class that wasn't so focused on cardio moves, but more weights and strength building. The main WOD was an AMRAP with SDLHP, HPS, and OHS. Unforunately I had to use a lot less weight then the rest of the members of the class, but I was able to generally stay at the same pace as everyone else in the class.

That being said, today I am convinced I am dying. My body is completely sore. Not just certain body parts, but the whole thing. My calves, my quads, my glutes, my core, my back, my shoulders, my arms, my wrists. Everything. It was such a good workout, and I've honestly forgotten just how painful being sore is. I was still sore from benching last Thursday as well. I find that I am still relatively strong, but my recovery time is a lot longer since I don't work out as often as I used to. I can definitely forsee myself still being sore by the end of the week.

I will definitely be drinking lots of water and trying to foam roll the pain away. I am actually going to be teaching a foam rolling stretch class out of the place where I do massage, so it'll give me an excuse to practice my routine a lot.

Great to see you back on FS and that you're trying new things to push yourself. I feel like being sore after a good workout is the best and the worst. Best because you know you're changing something and worst because, well it hurts! What happen with the wedding? Did you manage to fit into your dress? Keep up the good work!!

I did manage to fit into the bridesmaid dress.. I wasn't completely satisfied with how I looked, but at least I didn't ruin her wedding :)
