Rats, Gnats, and Alleycats. The scale went up. I was spot on, honest! Doing the same thing I've been doing. Perhaps the Steak waited a day to hit my system? Really? Maybe the "cold symptoms" I had all day yesterday have something to do with it? Shoot I even did 30 minutes on the elliptical. Probably just a fluctuation but dang, so disappointing.

Woke up to snow covered trees once again. It is still snowing to beat the band. No work today but we do need to take Mom into town to have her blood levels tested. Could be an interesting drive.

I did almost nothing yesterday. This happened to me last weekend on Saturday. I wake up in the morning, sneezing like crazy. It's like I have a cold, congested, runny nose, the whole nine yards. Then the next day I'm fine. I had all sorts of plans but did none of them because I didn't feel well. Strange.

Anyway ... so far today I've only sneezed once. Let's hope that is it!! Not sure what I'll get done. Running to town takes quite a bit of time when you live where I live. I do want to exercise this morning. Other than than we shall see what unfolds.

A gain happens even when you do everything right. It sucks but some many things can throw our water weight off like sodium, hormones, sickness, etc. Just stick with it and you will be fine.

The scale lies - use other ways of measuring and watch your language young lady, LOL. I loved that phrase... I plan to borrow it, okay?

I agree...when we do every thing right and still gain..it is discouraging...for sure...Hang in there Carol...You should see some progress soon...:O)

That's what happens when you weigh every day: rats, gnats and alleycats. You can weigh, but if you take those daily fluctuations seriously, you'll drive yourself batty. It's the average over the long haul that counts. Good golly; you can have 10 lbs of fecal matter in your large intestine at one time, and though we don't want to talk about this, nobody eliminates exactly the same amount every day. Some people throw it around pretty good though. :)

Oh DK you do make me laugh. Heaven forbid there is actually 10 lbs of fecal matter in my large intestine!!! I know. I know. And yet, really I actually fare better by weighing every day than not. I have a tendency to talk myself into too many things if I don't step on that dang scale.

I have my fingers and toes crossed that when you step on the scale tomorrow it will be well down and some extra besides...you deserve it- keep up the good fight.

I hope you are feeling better this evening. I hate the scale. It just doesn't always make sense, but we both know that. Hopefully when you wake up it will be different. We both know that happens and I hope it happens to you.
