Steady as she goes!!!

... that's the motto for the week! I'd be cranky if I thought it would help but I know it's a waste of precious energy. Truthfully though, I don't want to be cranky about it. It is what it is. Seems like it is time for my body to take a bit of a breather and readjust to having less mass to haul around. There is a tiny part of me that it trying to break loose and panic, who fears eating like a bird forever, gaining weight if I simply look at rich calorie dense foods but I working hard to keep her in her place!! If there was truly something wrong with my metabolism I would not have been able to drop 40 lbs in 12 weeks. My habits aren't going to change drastically when I arrive at my "goal" weight. I will still be exercising, eating consciously and getting on the scale. I'll be able to splurge from time to time. What I can't do is binge on a regular basis, try to eat to feel better, have more energy, boredom, anger, frustration, so on and so forth.

So, surprisingly ... I'm not terribly disappointed I only lost 9 lbs this past month. My first month I lost 19.4 ... wow that was a lot. The second I lost 12.2 ... very good. But this past month I only lost 9. I was hoping for an average of 10 a month. DUH!!! If I average my last 3 months I am OVER an average of 10 lbs a month. Silly me. Progress, there is definitely progress.

On a side note ... I took the time to look at Jim's diet calendar yesterday evening. WOW ... I was sooooo impressed, both by the Kcals expended and consumed!! The cool thing is ... you see he loves science and math ... he is losing at pretty much exactly the rate he has predicted through his calculations. And he eats BROWNIES!!! I keep thinking I should narrow that Kcal gap a bit .... and slowly I'm getting there!! But back to Jim ... talk about burning some serious calories ... over 4000 in one day!!! HOLY MOLEY!!!

Well my coffee is just about done perking ... time for breakfast!! Y'all have a grand day today, where ever you are, what ever is on your agenda. I'm going to continue LIVING!!! Take care my friends!!
