I started out well yesterday, but ended badly after going to mom's. Did not talk myself into hiding and avoiding the candy; in fact, I did the opposite. Crunching on those peanut M&Ms is a serious addiction. Later, in the name of supporting the restaurant where our niece works, we ordered a good bit of takeout and I scarfed all that down too. This is a pattern with me... start out the day motivated and in control - and then end up eating like a wild animal. I shudder to think what would happen if there were a shortage of candy instead of tp. I'm afraid I might commit homicide.

The ONLY thing keeping me off the candy train is that I gave it up for Lent. Im not even a religious person, I just really like the practice of Lent and have done it for many years. I cant believe how well Ive stuck with it. You can do this, give yourself a break. Drink some water, go for a walk, and try to be mindful about what youre doing. Easier said than done (I know) but its a start when you feel like things are starting to spiral.

I am totally the same. My weak points are the end of the day. It’s rough and sucks but don’t beat yourself up about it. (Ha I know easier said than done - I get mad at myself too). Don’t worry and don’t give up! We can do this!

If u r going to be reckless with food do it in the beginning of the day then u can burn it throughout the day. Do you log it? I feel if I am strict w logging then it holds me back a little when binge mode hits. But nonetheless, tomorrow is a new day!

Thank you, my friends! I see that I'm not the only one with a weakness for M&Ms. That crunch and sweetness relieves my stress. Maybe I should switch to chewing ice although I know my dentist would disagree.
