Finding I am needing sleep aides to help me fall asleep. Gotta figure it out cause I'm having too many sleepless nights.

I think it is also causing my weight loss stall. Been hardcore with the 48 hour fasts but just can't sleep. A few Doctors mentioned that loss of sleep is common when dieting and fasting cause the brain signals the drop in calories and wants to slow the pace of fat loss. HGH the fat releasing hormone only comes out when you are asleep. So the body keeps you wide awake to avoid HGH release.

Hate taking sleeping pills but I think I need them now.

I had the same sleep troubles when I changed my diet and started loosing weight. I was wide awake or would wake up half way through the night wide awake. I now take melatonin, a natural hormone our body produces when it gets dark, our "sleep" signaler so to speak. I take 5mg and that's all I need to help get me sleepy and I now stay asleep all night. If I feel really wide awake before bed, I'll take 10mg. Try that before any synthetic chemical sleep aids good luck!

Try taking magnesium before bed...it has helped me a lot

Or try 3 mg Melatonin taken about 1/2 hour before bedtime.

Alternatives to taking anything: Keep your room completely dark and cool (68 degrees F, if you can). Avoid electronic devices within an hour or so of bedtime. instead, read from a real book to avoid stimulating electronic blue light.

Thankgod, I am not the only one. And I wake up 5 times to pee. And when I sleep I feel my fat moving and relocating and melting. And i am thirsty. But I am not hungry. Hopefully it will get better.
