What a week! The littlest member of our family started with the flu this week. Then successfully passed it on to DD1 then onto me as well. I think I'm the world's worst sick person. I get cranky and tired, then crankier that I'm cranky and tired.

Anyway, as a result, I haven't been able to get to the gym or get out and get any training done.

On the upside, I've been trying on clothes that used to be tight on me and guess what?! They actually fit!!! Some of my old clothes are getting loose. I was wearing one of my old pairs of shorts while hanging out the washing the other day and realised that if I didn't reach down to grab them and yank them up, that I would end up in full view of the neighbourhood with my pants around my ankles! That was a bit of an "A-HA!" moment and when I started trying on my other clothes :D

I also wore a pedometer, just out of interest around the house as I was running around after small sick people and was really suprised with the amount of steps I am doing each day without even doing any serious walking. At my peak, I managed to clock up 6,000 steps! Granted this was on a day when I was doing housework, laundry and playing nurse to the babies, but it was still MUCH more than I expected!

I will be on more when I'm feeling a bit better. Hope you are all well and happy :)

I had a slack weekend. I felt like I needed a weekend off to refocus my thoughts and just chill out for a while. Although I didn't break out the blue cheese and the chocolate cake, I did indulge in a couple of glasses of wine, didn't count my calories and didn't go to the gym. I also refused to weight myself all weekend as I was just so annoyed with ym scale. ( I know it's irrational to be annoyed at an object, but sometime I just can't help myself!!)

However,I didn't GAIN any weight all weekend, which was really nice! I'm sitting steady on 87kgs. And now I feel recharged and ready to go at it all again. Especially after watching the Bigget Loser Finale last night! That was so inspirational that for the first time a woman won!

I have a Personal Training Session on Wednesday (that I'm a little bit scared about...my P/t just about KILLS me, although I know it's good for me), and if I can get to the gym tonight, I'll be happy. And I've booked my littlest one into the creche at the gym on Friday, so I know I'll get to go then too.

I've also signed up to do the 8km walk at the Mother's Day Classic Fun Run in May, I have to get some serious walking training in as well. I'm really looking forward to doing it!

FRUSTRATED! My scales aren't budging right now. It's very frustrating.

Last night I went to the gym as soon as my husband got home to look after the kids and was really chuffed that I managed to break my personal best and run 2.3K cumulatively. I even managed to run the 1st Km straight through and wasn't puffed until the last 10m. I really felt like my fitness level was stepping up!

Then when I weighed myself this morning, I saw I hadn't lost anything! Not a single gram. The number on the scales was staring at me and I just wanted to take the scales and throw them off the verandah! I'm eating between 1500 & 1700 cals a day. Im trying to move as much as possible. I throw in a weight training day every week. And I feel like I am showing very little loss for my huge amount of effort.

Makes me want to break out the chocolate cake, Blue cheese and Wine.
