My scale is playing games with me.... but that is to be expected!
I am super worried about camping this weekend. I know I will probably drink a lot and that is the reason i am fat in the first place! You can't go camping and not drink a bunch of beer! Oh well, I'll just try to eat less and go for a couple long walks or something. I dont expect to lose over the weekend, but if I can come out even, I will be satisfied.

What a fun surprise when I woke up this morning! another 1.4lbs! Woot! I can't believe i lost 7 lbs in 10 days! I found too some fun snacks to satiate my sweet tooth... Someone on this site mentioned Fudgesicles... AWESOME idea, i must say! only 60 calories and they really taste rich! and then the other is the sugar free Jello (only 10 calories) and with some cool whip Both regular and the sugar free only have a difference of 5 calories, so i went for the good stuff!

I read some where that people underestimate the calories they eat by 25-50%! I know that's what I was doing... Something that Bill my brother told me a few weeks ago i think has really changed things. I can't remember what he said exactly, but it was like, "It doesn't matter which diet you choose, the bottom line is, you have to take in less calories than you spend. IF you do, then you will lose weight. and if you don't, then you won't. Simple as that."
I think all of this time I have been so hung up on what i was eating- the combination of foods and what times of the day i eat them... and all of that is somewhat important, but I have never sat down and actually been able to see exactly how much is going in and out... and I think THAT is why this is going to work... It's like what bill said is "well, DUH" but I seem to have somehow forgotten about that very simple rule. Does that make sense ??? I don't know how I could have forgotten about that, I always knew it, but you hear so many diets being like, "don;'t count calories, just eat this combination of foods and you will lose weight" Well, I'm starting to think that's all bull. You can eat all the whole whet pasta and tortillas and lean chicken and fish and eat organic or vegetarian or whatever, but you can still end up taking in 3000+ calories a day if you're not careful!!
So like I can go to olive garden and get the fettuccine Alfredo and desert and drink some wine and if equals 1000 calories for that one meal (which it probably would) then I would just have to eat a small green salad (or nothing) for dinner. but at least i got my big tasty lunch!

Woot! I lost again... I forgot how good this feels. I just KNOW it's going to work this time. I really will reach my goal! I am just so impatient and want the next few months to be like a movie montage and all of a sudden it's 5 months later and poof I'm skinny! Oh well...
I am still worried about wht is going to happen when I go camping over memorial day weekend... yikes!

holy Crap... I had no idea that a northern lite cooler from caribou had 370 calories and 86 grams of carbs... I thought it was supposed to be made with sugar free syrup?? Well, good think I didn't eat a whole lot yesterday!
