Doing OK. Icy weather, first snowfall of the season here in western Massachusetts. Too icy to go out and go for a walk. I have been steadily losing weight over the past six weeks. I hope to be around 215 lbs. by May 2016. I am 6 foot 2, so that is an OK weight, I think 205 is OK. It is cold out today too. I have to go shopping, I hope to get out later today. I am currently writing the first draft of Book 8. I am going to use the pen name Glenn Colby. My paternal grandmother's paternal grandmother was born with that last name - Colby and she is a direct descendant of Anthony and Susannah Colby - Anthony came to Boston in 1630. He is a 10th great grandfather. They have had many famous descendants over the past 400 years - over two dozen - including a President, a Vice President, governors, famous actors, actresses, writers, inventors, business people, etc. I did ancestry a few years ago. Anyway, I am losing now, so I am on the right track. I am fed up with Facebook. It is getting so toxic on there, nothing but arguing about politics - and other toxic topics. I am done with it for the most part. I will get an author's page up in time to promote my books once I am published but other than that I think I am done posting on Facebook regularly. It is not a good place to go on regularly to have peace of mind.

Well, I have been off here for months. I was on here for days on end in 2007 to about 2011, 2012. The first few years on here were a blast. What a crowd we had! I think loosinisfun has passed on, he was older. Others just left. I have been off for months. Facebook took me away, but I think I am getting off there but for my writing soon, the politics is TOXIC. Anyway, I lost ten pounds the last month, still a bit over 235, but I am 6 foot 2 and muscular. I want to get below 220 - to 210 or so and I will be happy. I think I can do it by April or May. I bought a gym workout set and treadmill for the basement. I moved into a new condo January 21st, it is a townhouse and it was very reasonably priced. I am writing my eighth book now. I have a schoolteacher friend who edited Book 1 and she loved it. I need a literary agent and publisher. It is about 400 pages, historical fiction. She found only 13 errors in a 400-page book, so I did a good job editing it myself. I should go by GlennC maybe as I will be using a second great-grandmother's maiden name as a pen name - her direct male ancestor came to Boston in 1630 - and he and his wife have had dozens of famous descendants over the last 400 years or so. Take care, I am not doing low carb right now, I have just cut back on food, but I have tried to cut back carbs a bit.

I am doing OK. Do not bother with Nutrisystem. Too many candy bars in it. They just make you crave more food. The food is OK, but they seriously need to get the sugar out of their foods - and change the meal plans, which are child-sized food servings. I am back on low carb. It is the best way to lose. I went swimming Friday. I am walking too. Doing OK, still writing... no publishing deal yet. An elderly retired schoolteacher friend taught English for decades and she edited one completed book, she said it was good. Only 13 mistakes in nearly 400 pages. Books 2 and 3 are longer, 4 is shorter. 5 needs to be typed up. 6 and 7 will likely be all short stories. Other work done too, first draft.

I am doing OK. I am back on here to journal. I had a small piece of pie yesterday. I need to lose 20 pounds by October - that is my goal. I have done it before. Low-carb dieting works best. Calories matter too with me and low carb is best to lose. I have a treadmill, but some arthritis issues have prevented me from using it as much as I would want to. I need to get on here more often. I know Facebook and other sites can take us away from the goals we have and I am sick of people starting arguments on Facebook.

I am not following Atkins strictly. However, I have been off of here for months. I have a new condo, signed the papers January 21st, and I have a basement to put exercise equipment in and next week I am getting a treadmill - I already ordered it last week. Otherwise, I am doing OK. I want to lose 30 lbs. at least. Exercising an hour a day on the treadmill (working up to it) will help, but I need to cut carbs more. I eat the low-carb bread and pasta. I rarely eat sugar, etc. I hope everyone is well.
