Yesterday, I did a session of NET (neuro emotional technique) and moved grief and other negative emotions out of my body. I'm so much better now. I'm grateful to be happy and at peace again. Tonight is sitting in front of a cracking fire watching a sappy Christmas movie.

I had a breakthrough yesterday. This time of year painful grief comes up. I try to feel my feelings and just be with them so they pass through. Each minute I have to keep reminding myself to not use food to comfort myself. I asked my husband to hold me and although he is not a naturally cuddly person, he came through. I also used a cat and blanket on my lap for comfort and to keep myself from getting up to get food. I finally went to bed early knowing that I'd wake up feeling better. Full disclosure: I did eat a candy bar while at work and that's unusual for me. But I minimized the potential damage. I wish I knew how to process my grief more easily and quickly.
