Do you want to know how winners do it? They make a plan. They follow the plan. They try. Then, they accomplish their goals. They don't complain if they didn't follow the plan, and they fail. They know where the blame lies. Right there, in the mirror.

Example - a man does not wake up one morning, and say to himself, "Today, I run a marathon." (especially if he has no previous running experience!) Instead, he says, "Today, I find out what kind of training I need to do so that someday I might run a marathon." He researches exercises and equipment. He devises a training schedule. He would track his success and failure, to find out what works, and what doesn't. He follows his plan. And, then, someday in the future he crosses that finish line, with his hands held high and a smile on his face.

If, for some reason, he cannot cross that line, whose fault is it? Does the fault lie in his shoes? Is it his water bottle? Is it his clothing? Or is it his lack of training? What if his plan said that you have to start slowly, and he decides to jump in, because he's so excited, or bored with going slow, and runs for five miles, before getting an injury. Whose fault is that? Is it the trainer who suggested started slowly, or is it the man for being impatient?

We are blessed in that the plan has already been laid out for us. Granted, they don't say eat this, at this time... now, eat this.... Maybe, somewhere, there is that schedule. But, the point is that they tell us what we can and cannot eat to reach our individual goals. They have given us the science behind these decisions. They have encouraged us to find out what does and doesn't work for us (OWL). They are standing at the finish line, cheering their hearts out for us. All we have to do is run that marathon.

I wrote this earlier to my buddy on here, but I think I need to put it out there for all folks to read. I am totally disgusted with people who are "disappointed" in "only losing" X pounds in a few weeks. Really? This ISN'T a DIET. IT'S A LIFE CHANGE!

These same people say, "I only cheated once." "I'm planning a cheat." "Is it okay if I have a free day, where I can eat whatever I want?" Shoot, you're an adult. Think about it. Who are you cheating on? What will be the outcome of that "cheat"? What will the future lead to?

I'm Type 2 Diabetic, on Lexapro. Those things combined make it VERY difficult to lose weight in the beginning. Am I frustrated? Yes, and no. I understand what's happening to my body, but only because I researched it. I know that this is the rest of my life. If I don't do this, my life will be much shorter. Not my first choice.

I understand that it isn't going to be Induction forever. I understand that it won't be OWL forever. I give myself permission to eat anything I want, just not today. I can do anything I want, just not today. As long as I have permission, and nothing is forbidden, then I have no reason to cheat, there is no cheat. I'd only be cheating myself, my husband, and my children. Why would I want to do that? Why would YOU want to do that?

Wake up, moany groany's - this is YOUR life - what's your decision?
