It is Day 1 of my challenge. I worked last night and was good about not eating junk food to stay awake. Bad news in I have had 2 hours sleep in 36 hours and have a headcold. Work calls again tonight so I'm not sure how this will affect my kickoff. I sure don't feel like exercising today. Sleep would be wonderful....

This week is a new week. So far I have exercised twice this week, I'm feeling food about it! Bought some healthy food today for a change so the kitchen is stocked- there is no excuse. I picked up a book at the library because it sounded entertaining but it actually got me to thinking. It is called The Adulterer's Diet. In the book the woman began losing weight because she started talking to an old college boyfriend online. He wanted to see her the next time he was in town but she was so unhappy with the way she looked, that she went on a diet & exercise regime. Eventually she & her husband realize their lives are going in to separate directions. He has a problem with her suddenly devoting time to herself and looking hot.
While I have no desire to cheat on my husband, it made me realize that each of us have to have our own reason for losing weight. Sometimes fitting into a smaller pant size isn't enough. Yes it will be nice and fun to shop. But I need something more to push me. I want to be healthy. I want to be the hot wife and hot mom. I want to fit into a bikini by next summer or at least be close to it. So my best friend in the universe and I have made a pact. We both have the same amount of weight to lose. So we are motivating each other and at the end of our challenge, we will go on a cruise to show off our hotness! That is a motivator.

This was the worst week possible to start a diet. Began working third shift last sunday and my body was hungry all the time! I was unprepared for that, I really didn't think I would want food at 3 or 4am but I did. Now that I know I have cut up plenty of veggies to take and snack on. I did not follow the fat smash week 1 detox completely. However, I did eat way more fruits and vegetables than normal. Did not eat any meat but there were some carbs in there...
Exercise sadly was minimal. This week though I am kicking it up. The weather is gorgeous so me & the pup will begin our walks! Also thinking of throwing some laps in on my breaks at work- can't hurt.
So here we go!
