Happy Easter everyone! I wouldn’t be where I am without you all, so thank you VERY much! Feeling so much better, but pretty limited to what I can chew after this oral surgery. Now that the weather’s been so good it’s been pretty pleasant walking the dogs and even doing some spring cleaning around the house. This is one of my best drops ever! 😊🎈🌸

So my oral surgery has gone from bad to worse. On Monday, the oral surgeon couldn’t get the tooth (lower left) that needed extracting to get numb (after 5 tries 😖). So on Tuesday, my beloved husband drove me back to the oral surgeon’s so I could have the tooth removed under anesthesia. Wednesday, as expected, I had pretty much pain. On Thursday, I called the oral surgeon because the pain was intensifying and I only had a few pain pills left. I’d already told them I’d been on an antibiotic for a week, and after telling me that the bruising on my neck was normal, I got another prescription for some pain pills and went home. Now it’s Friday, and the pain pills aren’t cutting it—and the lymph node on the left side of my neck is hard, the size of an egg, and all bruised. I went back to the oral surgeon, who has now diagnosed “cellulitis”—an infection caused by the tooth that needed to come out. So now I’m on 2 antibiotics and am alternating the pain meds with ibuprofen and my regular back medicine. And using ice packs on my neck/lymph node cellulitis thing. All I can eat are soft foods (shakes, pudding, yogurt, lukewarm soup), and my mouth and lymph node hurts so much that I don’t feel like eating. I have an appointment Monday at the oral surgeon’s, and right now I’m not feeling any better. I’ve never had cellulitis before and I don’t know what can be done. So it’s 2:30 Sunday morning—I can’t sleep—and I’m aggravated and worried. So I’m pouring out my frustration here in a journal entry. Does anyone have any experience with cellulitis? If so, any ideas on what to do? I know there’s a joke somewhere in all this about cellulitis vs. cellulite, but I’m not there just yet. Thanks for listening. 🙁
