Yay! Finally broke through the 250 barrier! Of course I probably sweat it off yesterday; it was so muggy. But I’ll take it! Lost 4 inches off the waist since my last measurement; at least my chest is bigger than my waist now. LOL! Toodles.

Good day, My Friends! Well, it appears that what I am doing is working. I wish I could say that it was one simple thing that is doing it for me, but we all know that wouldn’t be true. Weight loss takes some discipline and knowledge no matter how you spin the tale. Here’s what I have been doing: I’ve all but cut out anything made with granulated sugar or fructose. That’s probably the biggest factor. I work out about 20 minutes on my Total Gym, then I have a plant based fat burning smoothie. I’ll have another one 4 or 5 hours later, and then eat a fairly well balanced meal at supper (not vegetarian). Every now and then I’ll go until noon the next day for another smoothie. The fat burning smoothies are all from a book called “Zero Belly Smoothies” by David Zinczenko. I’ve tried a bunch of them; they all have significant amount of protein, fat and fiber and are generally under 300 calories. Also, they are delicious and the fiber keeps the cravings away for 4 or 5 hours. Sorry this turned into an advertisement; just thought it might help someone else. Toodles!

Making progress. Slow but steady. I was actually surprised I had dropped over the past couple of weeks, probably due to having been so busy with mowing and preparing and planting the gardens. Plenty more to do. Just trying to be a little smarter when I do eat. No time for snacking.

Nothing earth shattering, but considering the kids birthdays, our birthdays and anniversary this month, I feel I have done surprisingly well. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Toodles!
