245 pounds September 2010...now I am 178 pounds Jan 2014 on LCHF (Low Carb, High Fat diet), Bulletproof diet, Intermittent fasting)
Have now held close to my best weight for 4 years and kept off 67 lbs.
My energy is from 70-80% of good fat (coconut oil, Kerrygold butter, Bulletproof Brain Octane) blended into bulletproof coffee with stevia and my carbs are less than 30grams per day.
I am 78 years old and before I started the High fat and low carb with no grain, sugar or fruit diet I could only walk a block was 245 lbs with a 44 waist. Now thanks to high fat and very low carb I travel 100 miles to to gym once a week and lift a heavy workout, but no aerobics only weight lifting for on this day I get one quarter cup of baked sweet potato for the insulin spike and to make my gut bacteria happy. Aerobics only makes you hungry and does not cause health weight loss.
My current 178 pounds is with 19% fat mass, 6'1, waist 34.
Today I am: 115/74 BP, 64 BPM heart rate, 75 Fasting Blood Glucose.
Slept from 7:30pm to 4:00am. 4:30am had 12 oz of coffee with 25ml bulletproof brain octane 18X coconut oil and two inches of Kerrygold butter blended into coffee with stevia. This satisfy me until afternoon so between 1pm and 3pm I will have 4 raw eggs and 20 to 30grams of kale. No food after 3pm only water. To bed in Arizona desert at 7:30pm. No rattlesnakes until March just howling packs of Coyote and campfire. 74F high/ 44F low 26 January 2014 ...no rain for months.
