Hello,

I'm 25 years old and 5'9.5. I've struggled to loose weight my whole life, having tried Jenny Craig (too expensive), Weight Watchers, Atkins, New Mayo Clinic Grapefruit Diet, and am now taking Herbalife. I've found that Herbalife is the cheapest and best way for me to loose weight.

I replace both breakfast and lunch with a Herbalife shake and have snacks of fruits, veggies, nuts, cottage cheese, or Plain Kashi yogurt.
For the most part, I stay away from breads, cereals, rice, and pasta. Not eating $10 lunches everyday has been a tremendous savings!

I also go to support group meetings twice a week that help me get motivated. One meeting is for Herbalife, where I get weighed and all measurements are taken. I've received many helpful tips, one which includes how much protein my body needs according to my height, age, and weight. My daily required protein should be 153 grams. Prior to this I was barely reaching 20-30grams. I've noticed such a tremendous difference in boost of weight loss after having drastically increased my protein intake. I recommend that everyone intake more protein and find how much your body needs.

The second meeting I attend is about eating low glycemic. This sounds like a horrible "diet" but its not. Its more of a lifestyle change because I still enjoy most of my favorite foods but in healthier forms. Prior to eating low glycemic, I would feel tired and heavy after a carb filled meal. It felt as if almost immediately after food intake (a couple hours at most), I felt hungry again. Following Gi rules has helped me feel energized. I also take Usana vitamins which are some of the best out there.

I've discovered that weight loss is a long process, but its more of a lifestyle. I've heard the saying "you need to loose the fat person in your head before you can loose all your fat" and I can really relate to it. In essence its the same theory of your eyes being bigger than your stomach.
