Recently started Atkins, which I've never done in the past. Over the past 2 years, I've put on 40lbs to an already over weight body. 20 of those 40 pounds were put on over the past 6 months! Generally, felt terrible. I couldn't understand why I was packing on so much weight, UNTIL just a week or so ago, when I reviewed my carb count for the day or so prior. THAT was a real eye opener, with my daily carbs averaging 100-125 a day, lower fat, moderate protein. No wonder why I was blowing up like a balloon!!

I'm just finishing up day 6 on Atkins. My body is in a total state of shock ;) Though no big weight loss yet, bar a couple of pounds, that's okay. Did some Ketone strips that are running moderate, and that's okay to - I'm on my way.

Very happy to have found this site, and having the calculator and a great group of people will totally change my life.
