Just a little worried about this weekend, we are going to a cabin in a very secluded area and I doubt I will have cell phone reception, which kinda sucks because I don't want to get out of my good habit of tracking everything I eat everyday. So I will bring a paper journal with me and just write down everything that goes into my mouth, just in case I don't get any reception (always better to be prepared).
I won't have my exercise bike but I plan on doing lots of hiking and exploring (maybe even swimming) with my daughters (and hopefully we can get my Husband to come with us too). The change might be a good thing, we'll see.
I did all our food shopping last night and I did a really good job. I bought lots of fresh fruit and veggies so the girls will be able to have their snacks but they will only be able to choose healthy ones lol. I bought the stuff to make ants on a log (thanks Sarah) and we’ll make them with peanut butter and cheese whiz just to change things up. They will enjoy that (and so will I, sounds yummy). I also found a variation to the traditional somores, you still use graham crackers and a marshmallow but substitute the chocolate for a little fat free jam, the girls are really excited to try it.
I feel much better going into this weekend knowing that I won't be faced with too many bad, unhealthy food choices. My main concern will just be portion control, which I think I should do just fine with. Alcohol might be another issue, but I will do my best to only have a few and enjoy myself. After all that is what this vacation is all about and I plan on enjoying myself and my time away with my family.
