I'm feeling good! I can see a difference in the mirror and in the way my clothes fit me. This time it feels different, I'm not so much worried about dieting and cardio work outs. I'm more focused on changing my entire life and my way of thinking about everything. Maybe it's not just the excess fat I have to get rid of, maybe I need to get rid of a lot of things.

I need to fix a lot of things in order for myself to be reborn into the women I have always wanted to be. This weight has held me back for too long and I am sick and tired of letting it win and letting it dictate my life to me. No more diets, no more starving myself, no more guilt for falling off the band wagon and then binge eating because I made myself feel like shit for letting me down yet again. No More!

I will count calories for the rest of my life but I will NOT beat myself up over a bad day or even a bad week. I will stay positive with myself as if I was a very close friend in need of an understanding friend to lean on and a non judgmental shoulder to cry on. It's time to put me first and treat myself the way I should have always treated myself (just like I treat all my friends and family)with undying love and compassion and understanding and acceptance.

I want to do things that I enjoy and have never experienced before like belly dancing and NIA and soccer and horseback riding, things I have never been able to experience because of my weight. I know I need to go to the gym and fit that into my new life style as well but I don't want to limit myself to running on the treadmill when I could be hiking with my family.

I want to experience life and all the wonders that come with it. I will no longer be held hostage by the excess weight I have been carrying around for years! It's my turn to shine!

Those who want to do something, find a way.
Those who don't, Find an excuse.
