I love me some corn flakes too. I put 1 packet of Splenda on mine. I have to watch the sugar, because I'm diabetic and I've cut out all sugar (except what comes in the carbs themselves). My weakness is Raisin Bran. Oh. My. Good. Gosh. I love that cereal.
I don't have time to make oatmeal in the mornings. Except on the weekends, when I would rather have some scrambled eggs with 'stuff' in them.
All that being said, nothing beats a bowl of corn flakes with a little sugar and banana. :)
Have a great day!

Sdbai3: I see you understand my love of Corn Flakes. Man, they are so good. But sadly will probably get cut down to maybe 1 a week or something as a "treat".
sterlinggirl: I know! I am really trying! :)
mummydee: I've been pretty good about telling the food industry to go f*** itself. I just REALLY love Corn Flakes! LOL. But sadly I will probably limit my intake of them severely.
HCB: I am sure that's the route I will go most mornings.
msbuggirl: You're preaching to the choir! Love bacon!

Kale is a family favorite and adding Sriracha to it sounds amazing. We usually do some olive oil and garlic. Thanks for the info. The eggs in coconut oil sounds fun. Fun? I obviously need a life!
|
At least it's not Frosted Flakes! I vote for bacon and eggs - that is my go to breakfast.

Let me know what you think if you try it,, I love eggs like this its so good.. the yolk makes like creamy dressing over the yummy kale,, and The siracha gives it a little kick. Oh during the week I also will add some real bacon bits,, and as I said on the weekends real bacon strips. Just because bits are a quicker during the week .

Adam, you have gotten some super ideas from your post...and Breakfast has been an MAJOR adjustment for me over the past 4 years...I confess...there was a time I would have two cups of ONE favorite cereal and then follow that up with two cups of another...LOL...but I was NOT measuring and counting stuff back then...but yes, used to love ALL cereal..and esp. with strawberries or bananas sliced into it...LOL...those WERE the days....I feel your PAIN...but bacon and eggs are VERY good...LOL..:)

Did someone mention Bacon? Bacon! I get the sugar free uncured bacon from Whole Foods - yummy
|
Ok y'all. I had my first bacon and eggs breakfast :) Yes I did have a slice of toast with it, but I still cut my breakfast carb level from around 90 to around 18. Not bad :) Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I really appreciate it. Now to just work that toast out of there!

One step at a time....great start!!!!!!

AJ!!! Have you ever tried cold oats? Try them. You need rolled oats or slow cooked oats that have not been cooked. The night before, put a half cup of oats in a bowl and add milk to make them moist. Cover for the night to soak them and if they're a little dry add a little more milk in the morning. Sprinkle cinammon on top if you like, which I do, but I only do that after adding the tablespoon of maple syrup. :D
