Found a Overeater’s Anonymous book 📕 ‘For Today’ in a garage sale about a week ago. This Mark Twain quote for one of the days sums up my journey so far:
Habit is habit, and not to be flung out the window … but coaxed downstairs a step at a time.
80.5 公斤 最近减少: 5.5 公斤.    还有: 14.5 公斤.    饮食准则: 合理的.
一个星期减少0.4 公斤

To change a habit you need to replace it with an activity that is serving you... as you repeat that new activity, it becomes a new habit....

Oo la la @bestees.au When you said that I realised I don’t yet have a replacement- but I do have an addition, that is, almost daily walk. But this definitely is something that is coming up.

@debh743 Good to hear... habit is repetition of an activity... so when you continue to give energy to it, it only gets stronger... even though you want to push it down the stairs one step at a time... when you realise that you would flip the habits that don't serve you
