Sunday and it is gorgeous outside!! Went out to dinner with friends last night and I indulged. Not really sure what the calorie count was so I estimated. We are going over to another friend's house this afternoon. They are cooking a prime rib so it will be another larger than normal calorie day today too. I'm trying not to freak out about it. I am so close to reaching my goal. My weight fluctuated up today which seems to happen when I have alcohol and also when I do extra time on the elliptical. I understand why if I have eaten out and had alcohol. I don't understand why it goes up when I exercise more but I guess it really doesn't matter in the long run. I just need to keep going. I need to hop in the shower and get a few other things done around here. Also need to call our friends and see if I can bring something to share for dinner. I am thinking maybe a green salad ... if I have a good salad then maybe I can limit the other goodies they will have there. It is all about balance and I am still learning that lesson. Forever I imagine. I have the same fears many of you have shared. I fear gaining again. I don't ever want to see 200 again. I have a trip this week too. My niece's wedding. I do plan on eating some cake. It has been soooo long since I have had a piece of cake and I absolutely LOVE cake!!!

Maybe you are getting muscle and thats why you weigh more after exercising. I too indulged yesterday-too much.

this is not from experience, but I have heard that when you exercise your body sends water to the muscles you are working and they retain more water while they are repairing from your workout. not sure how accurate that is, but it makes sense to me.
