Sticking with a high level of exercise has really made all the difference. My mood is far better when I get a good aerobic workout every day. If I'm don't sweat, it shows in how I feel the rest of the day.

I've also started noticing that the days that I eat too much are often the same days that I don't get social enough. So no excuse for staying home and not connecting with others. If I don't connect with people, I'll surely substitute by connecting with food.

I forgot what it was about exercise that makes us feel so good, perhaps it's our bodies saying "thank you." :-)

I think it's that we humans are designed for activity (lest we be mistaken for vegetables!), and our relatively recent habits of sitting at a computer screen or in an easy chair reading or watching the TV tell our bodies that we are conserving our energy for some reason. Thus confused, our bodies start shutting non-essential functions down, our metabolism slows, and soon, we're gaining weight and feeling sluggish and tired. A good dose of daily exercise is a great way to remind us of what it really means to be a human being -- active!
