Good Monday morning!! It is an overcast day here in North Idaho ... a little bit of rain predicted in the forecast. Let's see ... do I have anything to say this morning? Hmmm ... not like me to be at a loss for something to say. Think. Think. Think. I feel like Winnie the Pooh!

It will be a short work week for me ... packed full but still short. Wednesday after work I'm driving down to spend a couple days with my very bestest female friend in the world, other than my mom. I'm looking forward to spending a little time with her.

It is nice not stress so much about food and minor fluctuations on the scale. I feel much less obsessed these days. I also am beginning to feel "in control" about my weight. It is finally sinking in that my weight is not something that is out of my control. I am not destined to be fat. I can enjoy food, splurge on occasion, and maintain a healthy weight. Now maybe that is not news to many of you but it sure is to me!! Even though I do still want to reach 175 I would also be very comfortable maintaining around 185. This is an okay weight for me. I do expect that I will lose but I no longer feel "driven", "in a hurry", or like a "failure" if I maintain in this neighborhood of poundage.

And so ... it isn't about "arriving" for me, well at least not arriving at some magic number. I guess is is about arriving at this part of my journey where I make peace with my body which of course is an ongoing process. I imagine I'll have "uh-oh" moments still, little glimpses where I feel panicked, times when I slip into old habits. Still, with each day passes that I can embrace my life, accept the moments, and be kind to myself I feel stronger and healthier.

Okay, I knew I could come up with something if I just focused!!! Tee hee!! Now, on to my next cup of coffee, my morning fiber bar, and the day ahead of me! Y'all take care ... I look forward to checking in on all of you and seeing what is happening in your world today!!

i'm glad you're in a comfortable "neighborhood of poundage"! (that little statement was so cute lol) Every time I look at your progress and see that you've lost almost 55 pounds, i get so guppy with pride hehe But i am happiest for you because like you said, you feel stronger and healthy.
