I actually hid my scale to keep me from standing on it every day, since I have joined an aerobics class three times a week, have started doing weight training at the gym and have added swimming and walking stairs to my routine. I have NOT been worrying much about what I eat, and find that doing all that exercise tends to cause me to eat healthier foods. Maybe it's just the idea of putting non-nutritious food into a body that is doing so much good work that is causing me to eat better. I have been working hard at getting 3-4 servings of fruit (easy) and 5-6 servings of veggies (not so easy) every day, and that also tends to cause me to eat less junky stuff.
In the final analysis, I haven't lost very much weight, but I am fully aware that muscle weighs more than fat, and my pants are looking a lot better on me, so I am far less concerned about my weight than I have been. I have also noticed my legs are getting more muscular, my joints hurt less and I have more endurance all the time.
