Hit the gym a little too hard yesterday, have shin splints. My friend tells me the best way to work with them is let them heal. He suggested I do the eliptical until I can run on the treadmill without my shins hurting. Still having difficulty with not eating the wrong foods, doing okay so far but is difficult when you live with people who keep chips and cookies and other not so good things in the cupboards. I know everything is okay in moderation but it's difficult to have a small serving of something when all you want is the whole thing. Trying to increase water intake and get more fruits and vegetables in the diet, need to cut down on fat as well.
